Caring for your Natural Jewellery

Your jewellery has been made with care, and for your enjoyment. Each one comes with a free ‘eco’ pouch for safekeeping.

Most natural components in your jewellery are porous to some degree. In some cases, over time, the high lustre may settle into a more subdued patina in accord with your individual chemistry.

Use a cleaning cloth that is soft, to very gently polish. A jewellery cleaning cloth can be used for the metal findings & closures. For all other components, only use a clean, soft, cloth. It may be dampened slightly with cold water only, and firmly wrung out. Avoid using any cleaning solutions.

Please keep separately in the cloth pouch provided to prevent scratching and chipping. If dropped they may chip or even shatter.

• Apply cosmetics & fragrances before wearing your jewellry. • Avoid excessive contact with lotions, perfumes, any cleaning products, sprays  etc. • Please remove when swimming, bathing, exercising, showering or exposed to water or excessive perspiration. • Prolonged exposure to harsh sunlight can fade natural components. • Please remove before sleeping

Eco pouches are made under the same roof as Lake Essence jewellery, and are gifted with each jewellery purchase. They are made by hand, from toile off-cuts, vintage fabrics & stash remnants. Most have been laundered to remove sizing.
